Grew Elementary School, Hyde Park

The Grew Community works hard to install the virtues: empathy, curiosity, perseverance and collaboration, in all we do! We’ve recently exited turnaround status, go Cougars! The Henry Grew Elementary School creates a learning environment to help students gain skills so they will be equipped to meet the challenges of the 21st Century. Our School is a place where students feel physically and emotionally safe,  a place which encourages each child to exhibit a growth mindset. We will continue to improve education by offering a comprehensive learning environment created by teachers, parents and community members.

"I wanted to express my deepest gratitude for the incredible impact your organization has made through the donation of books, educational games, hygiene kits, toys, and stuffed animals to the Henry Grew Elementary School. The Grew is a Boston Public School located in Hyde Park that largely services students from Hyde Park, Roslindale, Dorchester, and Mattapan. The introduction of new books and educational games has not only enriched the learning environment within the school, but also for families at home. The "Where the Wild Things Are" story themed chair is a wonderful and cheery addition to our little library.

What sets your organization apart is not only the admirable cause you champion but also the seamless collaboration and efficiency experienced throughout the process. Working with you and your team has been a pleasure, and the positive impact witnessed in our community is a testament to your organization's dedication. Your multifaceted efforts provide schools like ours access to additional educational resources, toys and stuffed animals to bring joy to our little learners, and essentials to help support our families in need. I am truly grateful for our continued partnership and to witness, first hand, the positive change you bring."

-- With heartfelt appreciation, Jessica Demjen, Parent & Co-Chair, School Parent Council

"We want to thank Lisa of Storytime Crafts for donating so many wonderful books, hygiene kits and toys to the Grew Elementary School for our Family Resource Fair/Open Schoolyard.  Our students and families were so excited to find many great books to read and enjoy.

We are also grateful that when we first reached out to Lisa in preparation for the event that she was committed to supporting our school community from the start.  Thank you Storytime Crafts for partnering with us.  We hope to work together again."
