Helping the Homeless is a COVID-19 emergency initiative to provide support to facilities caring for homeless COVID-19 patients and homeless in isolation. Storytime Crafts is providing books and resources and partnering with Hope & Comfort to provide essential hygiene products. Facilities are ramping up to meet the needs of homeless patients and their goal is to help these patients feel cared for and safe so that they are comfortable staying quarantined.

BMC is working to establish two temporary facilities for homeless individuals and families with COVID-19 (one facility) or isolating/distancing (second facility). As homeless children are out of school they have no access to books, learning materials and essentials. Storytime Crafts responded to the urgent needs at Boston Medical Center and delivered over 250 games and books on March 31.

Storytime Crafts delivering hygiene essentials to BMC provided by Hope & Comfort. A special shout out to Middlesex Interiors for helping to transport Hope & Comfort essential hygiene products from BMC to their COVID-19 facility to care for homeless patients.

Storytime Crafts is spreading kindness (safely) to homeless COVID-19 patients in shelters being cared for by amazing healthcare workers who risk their lives every day. A special thank you to Hope & Comfort for providing hygiene products.

During the COVID19 crisis, Storytime Crafts has ramped up its support to help the neediest and homeless in our Boston Community most impacted by this pandemic. Storytime Crafts delivered two truck loads, 6,750 essential hygiene products from our partner Hope & Comfort. A special shout out to Middlesex Interiors construction team working so hard on this Boston Medical Center/Newton Pavilion health care center to care for homeless COVID patients. We are all in this together.

Storytime Crafts donates diversionary activities  - April 11, 2020

Storytime Crafts partners with Catching Joy to provide beautiful hearts to COVID-19 homeless patients at isolation and recovery centers in Lexington and Taunton. Thanks to generous donations Storytime Crafts donated 4 dozen adult coloring sets for patients being quarantined.

Storytime Crafts provides diversionary activities for COVID homeless isolation and recovery centers around the Commonwealth - April 22, 2020

With the growing number of of regional quarantine sites around the commonwealth caring for COVID homeless, there is also a growing need for support at these isolation and recovery centers. The addition of diversionary activities, including adult reading books and coloring sets are extremely helpful for patients being quarantined. Supporting health care workers caring for homeless COVID patients  at centers in Lexington, Taunton and Pittsfield is a priority for Storytime Crafts. Small gestures of kindness can make a difference and during these unprecedented times. A special thank you to Catching Joy for providing more beautiful hearts.
